Except screening of films all the activities of Kannada cinema industry come to halt on 4th of February. It is not a bundh but a holiday on account of the annual Kannada language festival – 77th Akila Bharatha Kannada Sahitya Sammelana.
The KFI is taking part in the procession from Freedom Park to National College grounds in the morning and take part in the first day event of Kannada Sahitya Sammelana.
The KFCC on Tuesday evening announced the holiday for everyone participating. Basanthkumar Patil President of the KFCC in the presence of A Ganesh BN Gangadhar, Sa Ra Govindu, SA Chinne Gowda announced the holiday.
The KFI is not just taking a walk but three tabloids representing the Kannada cinema industry will reach the rendezvous.
The key man in charge of the prestigious 3 days event of Kannada Sahitya Sammelana R Ashok, Home Minister came to the KFCC office and invited the cinema industry participation.
